Dear Michael,
Our 3rd baby will be born soon and you have yet to meet our 2nd. You connected to our first in a way that I will always remember. We are having a girl this time and I hesitate to mention, because I know you may never see her face or accept the reflection that faces her.
When you came back after all those years, you cried in temperance. There were many things you missed, many things you were not around to enjoy or experience.
It was are to handle that type of memorabilia that you didn't have any connection too. Although you may have traveled through countries and cities I will never know the names of, witnessing families, couples, people who are in your world. It still does not compare to the sisters and brother you have here. Mother misses you dearly. It has been 2-3 years, when will you come back?

It's Been Over a year now...S.M. Bjarnson
It is over a year now...
Our mother brings you up weekly. We have not heard a single coo from you.
Our father thinks you have passed away. And yet, my thoughts or feelings about his expression about this is merely a conundrum.
Dear Michael, It's Gobi,
We have wondered for days, weeks, months, and now a year. Where you are, where you have gone.
Mom secretly thinks we will be watching Amazing Race and you will appear in the background scenery. Just happily conversing with the locals as you venture the taunting world around you.
You pick up on the language, and the culture picks up on you.
You are able to read others and they just glance upon the surface of you.
We wish you well on your journey brother.
We hope to see you again, in this lifetime, if not in another.
Remember your strength and your purpose of discovery.
Love your sister, bro-in-law, and sweet nephews.
(All whom I will remind everyday of their uncle Mike.)

Dear, Michael It's Gobi, One Year Ago
Dear Michael,
How are you doing?
It's me Gobi.
You've been gone for almost a year, and the last we saw of you was more than 365 days. Our mother worries she will never meet your presence again. I worry our father's impressions will ring true.
My sons are beautiful. I look down as I hold my baby, you have not gotten the chance to gaze upon his brown eyes or his soft locks. Lil' Riddle, as you know, had such a wonderful bond. My heart grows with sorrow as he may have been too young to recall those memories you shared together. He will be 3 in June and you 34.
Mister Wolfe will be turning one and I can't help but to wonder if you passed on, before he was born, and your two souls are among the same.
Our mother wakes in the night searching for answers about your intentional disappearance. People will claim you as AWOL. To my understanding you have always been lost on the pathways of the original society.
Do you find the estrangement of yourself warming or desolate?
Have you traveled across seas to abandon the role you signed up for?
Have you gone back home to the safety shores of our ancestors?
Our mother worries, it is her name to blame. But that is not so. And she carries the weight of her children to much and for too long. It is your choice. And I hope you find freedom. I hope you have reached a haven of both peace and accepting pleasure.
I am sorry for the consequences you would face in returning.
I apologize for the family's response and outbreak of action to your personality and character traits.
I hope you deliver your smarts in a way that people will accept and understand.
Don't be foolish, my brother, you will always be loved.
Love, Gobi
P.S. May you find your way safely. The oldest says hello, Uncle Michael.
